Weapon of Prayer
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...Ephesians 6:12

We forget. It’s easy when our focus is on the dfficult people we’re dealing with, or circumstances; we forget that there are unseen demonic forces operating behind the physical, giving power, momentum and direction through human vessels. We forget that we have been given power to overcome these forces – (Luke 10:19). We forget that there are legions of heavenly resources waiting to defend us – (II Kings 6:16,17). But too often these resources are neglected because we do not release them into action for our benefit because we have not learned to pray on a supernatural level.

In Psalm 35, David asks the Lord to send angels to chase and persecute his enemies. This is one of the most valuable and effective methods for driving backward a demonic assault.

Recognize that there is a demonic force operating behind the person or circumstance, then ask God to send angels to bind and destroy the demons that are using the people who are causing the problem. For example, I was directed to pray for a serial killer the police were searching for. I asked God to send angels to destroy the demons that were using the man. Three days later he turned himself in. Coincidence? Maybe, but since my husband and I have learned to pray this way, the oppression that hovered over our home which is located in a highly occultic area, has disappeared. We have seen positive changes in our town and church. A demon can’t continue to operate in a person when it’s fighting an angel or fleeing for its life.

Remember not to forget that the unseen is as real as what we can feel or see. And remember to adorn yourself with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17), and defend yourself and others with the weapon of prayer. Put God’s heavenly army to work to destroy and hinder the demonic legions that are afflicting missionaries and the persecuted church all over the world...
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints- (Ephesians 6:18)

"OH, MY WARRIORS, I have armed you with everything you need, saith the Lord. But you will not take up your swords. I have surrounded you with hordes, companies of innumerable angels who await your command - and you command them not. And you are oppressed and bound by your enemies, when I have commanded you to bind them. You have remained passive in this war, and the enemy has put veils upon your minds by witchcraft to keep you complacent and ineffective. Some of you have fallen ill as the result of curses that I have given you the authority to break. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)
   Hearken to Me, because this battle that you have refused to enter is intensifying. I command you now to take up your armor, and the mighty weapon of prayer, and stand. If you obey Me, you will find yourself fighting in the eye of the storm from a position of peace."
