Spiritual Warfare: Fighting from Your Position and Authority in Christ

The Lord said unto my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool’ – Psalm 110:1

The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory (Ephesians 1:17), the God who has raised Jesus from the dead, has set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places (Ephesians 1:20). And because we have believed we have redemption through His blood, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7), and we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians1:13), God has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6).

To those of you who are presently under siege from the enemy, get this – We are seated – present tense – we are seated in Christ Jesus in heavenly places. God has positioned you in Christ and even though your flesh is still on this earth, our spirits are joined and seated with Christ and it is from this vantage point, which is far above the heads of our spiritual adversaries, that we have been given the authority to fight.
Remember that God has given all things under the feet of Christ – Ephesians 1:22, and Jesus has bestowed His power upon us to conquer the powers of darkness.

Jesus said…
“Cast out devils” - Matthew 10:8
Then He called His twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils…Luke 9:1
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder:
The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. – Psalm 91:13
We are more than conquers – Romans 8:37
because
Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. –I John 4:4

Your flesh is on earth; your spirit is joined to Christ by His Holy Spirit in you. His authority over the devil is your authority. You shall not be intimidated by anything the devil sends your way for you have been given power over him and he knows it. He is afraid of you. The mighty name of Jesus is upon your tongue and in that name demons tremble and flee.
If you are troubled, think of where you are seated and you shall not be distressed; if you are perplexed, you will not be in despair, if you are persecuted, know you are not forsaken, if you are cast down for the moment in this life, you cannot be removed from your position and you cannot be destroyed – from II Corinthians 4:8, 9.

Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ -
II Corinthians 2:14
