God's Natural Cure for Flu

      This simple food was given to the slaves to keep them from getting the plague as they were building the pyramids in Egypt. It’s been proven in laboratory testing that it will kill the flu virus. Even though mythology has given it the ability to keep vampires at bay, garlic can and does protect the body from deadly virus attacks. It is God’s natural medicine.
      My own experience has taught me that regular consumption of garlic has been very effective in preventing flu as well as eliminating it quickly after I had begun experiencing systems. As a preventative, I take a teaspoon of raw chopped garlic every day, always after a large meal as it can make you horribly nauseous if it is taken on an empty stomach. I swallow it with water. If you are concerned about “garlic breath” then chewing some raw parsley will take care of that. Consuming garlic on a daily basis can prevent you from getting the flu if it is combined with quality rest.
      If you begin to experience systems of flu, then quickly quadruple your garlic intake. I have eliminated flu in three days by increasing my dosage to five or more cloves a day taken raw. Some people take garlic pills; you can get more garlic into your system a little quicker. I prefer raw garlic, but if you choose the pills get the Kyrolic brand, they are the most potent. If you cook with garlic, chop it up and let it stand for ten minutes or more to retain its medicinal properties during cooking.
      Unfortunately, some people “reek” when they take garlic, the garlic odor will leech through the skin. If that happens, then use more perfume or cologne, it’s better than getting really sick.
      I have found that if you need to get a lot of garlic into your system quickly it can be combined with peanut butter and eaten as a sandwich. What I do is take a piece of whole wheat bread, (I use one slice to cut calories) then I spread it liberally with the peanut butter. Then I mince four or five cloves and insert them into the butter. A garlic press can seed up the process. I spread some more peanut butter over the garlic, then I roll up the bread and eat it that way. Rolling the bread further insulates you from a direct hit from the garlic. If you don’t have to watch your weight, use another slice of bread and make a full sandwich if you like; it actually tastes good. Always use organic peanut butter as peanuts get a fungus on them that require more pesticides and you don’t need to consume one evil to get rid of another.
      Also, elderberry will keep the flu virus from attaching itself to the cell walls. It comes in pill or liquid form. Combining elderberry with garlic is a powerful flu prevention team. Recent studies however have shown that if you get swine flu discontinue using elderberry as it may enhance symptoms.
      Nothing will work without proper rest. Don’t try doing things when you are tired. It’s your body’s way of telling you it needs to recoup. There is some truth to the old saying, “Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” We get our best and most productive sleep from early evening to midnight. During sleep our bodies rid themselves of many harmful impurities.
      Drink plenty of fluids and clean water. I have found that regular green and white tea consumption can also help prevent colds.
     Some warnings: Garlic can also thin the blood to help prevent heart attacks, but if you are already taking blood thinning medications check with your doctor before using garlic as a medicine because it can alter your blood chemistry too much. Do not take garlic prior to any surgery as it will increase bleeding. If you have a sensitive gall bladder, be cautious when consuming large quantities of garlic, because it is a spice. Drinking a lot of apple juice can calm an agitated gall bladder. I always drink organic fruit juices when possible. Also, garlic can sometimes cause indigestion in certain individuals. Consume some yogurt everyday to replace the good bacteria in your intestines that garlic can also destroy along with the bad.
      God has given us everything we need to help us keep healthy during these perilous times, spiritually as well as physically. Prayer, trust in His mercy, repentance, humble dependence upon Him and obedience to His word are also essential to our well being, because – Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman wake but in vain – (Psalm 127:1). He has made a promise to those who are faithful to Him. He will keep us from the diseases of Egypt (Deuteronomy 7:15) – with or without the garlic!

Psalm 91
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high,
because he hath known my name
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
