Noah and the Ark – Is the Story True?
|
|
There has always been some debate about the authenticity of the story of Noah and the Ark. Some see it as just a story, a possible parable to illustrate a moral principle: sin has consequences. Others view it as a literal event. I see it as both; a story that illustrates a moral principle that actually happened.
Some say that the way the Ark was designed that it would never float and carry all those animals, and yet it did. That is called a miracle.
There is a staircase in a church in New Mexico that because of its design is not supposed to stand, yet it does. That is a miracle, too.
God causes a massive explosion and the results of it fall into perfect order producing human beings with a DNA so complicated and intricately perfect, that when it was discovered many of the scientists became believers. |

The critics of the Noah story need to stop throwing their childish spitballs and go back to class.
Actually there was a study done at the University of Leicester in England, that proved the Ark could float and hold all those animals.
Almost every ancient civilization has a flood account in their history, many of them with similarities to the Noah account, which according to the Bible’s time frame, had to have been the first.
In conclusion, I have no reason to doubt a story that is contained in a book with prophecies that are 100% accurate. Anyone who says they are not has never studied them.
The debate over the validity of Noah’s story will continue to rage on, but in the controversy we must never neglect the message the story conveys. We can look at the description the Bible records of Noah’s day and realize that in many ways, matches the condition of our present age today. –
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. - Genesis 6:5
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. - Genesis 6:11
God is very patient and merciful and is willing to give all mankind the opportunity to repent and find their safety in the Ark of the Messiah Jesus.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 - For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
We are shown from the scriptures that the majority of mankind will refuse to repent, which will once again continue to pitch the world into multiple disasters of their own making until the Lord returns. Jesus’ second coming is described for us in Zechariah 14 and Revelation 19.
You can avoid God’s judgment on your life by learning from the example in Noah’s story and not be included with those who mocked him and eventually perished as the result of their own evil choices and stubborn rebellion.
Repent and board the Ark God has provided for you in the Messiah Jesus. He is the Ark that walked upon the waters of this life (Matthew 14:25). Don’t be afraid to take His hand and let Him drown you in His amazing love and grace. He will lead up to higher ground and the safety of God’s embrace.
John 14:6 - I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me.
