Blessed are the Meek


Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth… And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace (Matthew 5:5, Psalm 37:11).

The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 29:19).
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: They shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live forever. (Psalm 22:26)

The meek will He guide in judgment and the meek He will teach His way (Psalm 25:9).

The Lord lifts up the meek: He casts the wicked down to the ground (Psalm 147:6).

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the meek with salvation (Psalm 149:4)

Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgments: seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger (Zephaniah 2:3).

Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you shall find rest unto your souls.(Matthew 11:28,29).

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. (John 15:4).

The fruit of the Spirit is… Meekness (Galatians 5:22,23).

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, (patience) forebearing one another in love (Ephesians 4:1,2).

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, hearts of mercies, kindness, humblenes of mind, meekness, patience (Colossians 3:12). …the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price (I Peter 3:4).

The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those who oppose themselves (II Timothy 2:24,25)

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men (Titus 3:2).

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom (James 3:13).

Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: who when He was reviled, reviled not again: when He suffered He threatened not: but committed Himself to Him (God) that judges righteously (I Peter 2:21,22).
