Gardening

Well done, good and faithful servant - Matthew 25:21

A woman I met told me about a dream she'd had and I would like to relate it here for you.
In the dream she was in an art museum. The walls were adorned with beautifully framed paintings of individual flowers. She was shown that the flowers represented believers in Christ, and each flower was characteristic of people she knew including herself. Then she turned and saw a lovely flower garden where all the individual flowers were growing together. She was also shown that those flowers represented the Lord's church.
As servants to His church, we are called to be gardeners. We plant the seeds of His word, we water with our prayers. We weed, prune and fertilize; and as the result of our labors, some are transplanted into a higher level of intimacy with God.
It's a lot of work, but well worth the effort when we hear the Lord say, "Well done, My good and faithful servants!"

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. - Matthew 25:21
