Weapon of Prayer
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...Ephesians 6:12 Welcome to Cafe Logos

We forget. It’s easy when our focus is on the dfficult people we’re dealing with, or circumstances; we forget that there are unseen demonic forces operating behind the physical, giving power, momentum and direction through human vessels. We forget that we have been given power to overcome these forces –( Luke 10:19). We forget that there are legions of heavenly resources waiting to defend us – (II Kings 6:16,17). But too often these resources are neglected because we do not release them into action for our benefit because we have not learned to pray on a supernatural level.
In Psalm 35, David asks the Lord to send angels to chase and persecute his enemies. This is one of the most valuable and effective methods for driving backward a demonic assault.
Recognize that there is a demonic force operating behind the person or circumstance, then ask God to send angels to bind and destroy the demons that are using the people who are causing the problem. For example, I was directed to pray for a serial killer the police were searching for. I asked God to send angels to destroy the demons that were using the man. Three days later he turned himself in. Coincidence? Maybe, but since my husband and I have learned to pray this way, the oppression that hovered over our home which is located in a highly occultic area, has disappeared. We have seen positive changes in our town and church. A demon can’t continue to operate in a person when it’s fighting an angel or fleeing for its life.
Remember not to forget that the unseen is as real as what we can feel or see. And remember to adorn yourself with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17), and defend yourself and others with the weapon of prayer. Put God’s heavenly army to work to destroy and hinder the demonic legions that are afflicting missionaries and the persecuted church all over the world...
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints- (Ephesians 6:18)

The Protection of Prayer

My children, I have taught you to pray.
Our Father... All prayer must begin here. I am your Father. In prayer we converse in intimate relationship. You were created for fellowship with Me. In this relationship you are hidden and protected. I am your High Tower, your Fortress, your Defender. I hold out My arms to thee, and like a child you must run to Me and abide there. Our Father who art in Heaven… You must keep your minds on your dwelling place with Me. Where your treasure is your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). I want you to walk above the waters of this life with Me, so that nothing the enemy sends your way will affect your spirit. As you stay focused on that which is above, you will not sink and drown in the enemy’s polluted waters. Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name… Out of the mouths of babes I have perfected praise to still the enemy and the avenger (Psalm 8:2). Praise formed by the lips of a humble, dependent child-like heart, will stop legions of unseen enemy warriors poised to fight you. The music of your praise to Me is like throwing a net over the heads of your attackers and they are immobilized. Oh, if you only knew the joy I have in seeing the devil flee before the voice of one praising child-like heart! Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven… You must be willing to submit your will to My will. If you focus on yourself and your desires, you will wander from the straight path I have laid out for you, and in your roaming through the wilderness of your own ways you will make yourself a prey for your enemy. And I will allow him measured attacks upon you for the purpose of driving you back to the plan that I have ordained for your life. It grieves Me to see you wounded, but all chastening that I allow to come your way is for your growth and benefit. Submit your will to Mine and stay on the pathway of holiness and obedience. Obedience is your safety, for only I can see the snares and traps that the enemy has laid for you. Read My word, and train your spirit to hear My Still Small Voice and I will share with you My strategies for victory! I will give you your daily bread… as long as you remain humbly dependent on Me for your every need. I will forgive your sins, as long as you forgive others… for I am continually looking at your heart, for this is where My kingdom is found -within you where I dwell. And it is My utmost concern that your heart be formed in righteousness. When you cannot forgive, there is a wall that is created within you that hinders fellowship with Me. The root of this wall is pride. You must see that all sin is rooted in pride. When you cannot forgive, you are placing yourself in a position that is higher than the one who has harmed you. For all have sinned and are one in this (Romans 3:23. From the tower of My cross I beheld all mankind as one individual needing My forgiveness. You need to see that you are just as capable as offending as you have been offended. The fire of your self-righteousness must diminish and die in the humble ashes of forgiveness. I will not lead you into temptation and I will deliver you from evil… as long as you are willing to kneel with Me and pray in your own garden of Gethsemane. And I promise you victory, for indeed, Mine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, the Majesty, the Wisdom and all that I have, all that I am, I give to thee, for you are My children, and I am your Father.

Vision of the Candles
An acquaintance of mine told me of a vision the Lord showed her concerning prayer. She illustrates it very effectively using candles. One candle (or person who is praying) puts forth a certain amount of light, or power in prayer. When joined by another candle, the flames merge and glow even brighter. With the addition of more candles the flames become a miniature bonfire and these collective prayers reach into the heavenly realm. There is tremendous power released when Christians unite together in prayer. Let us not forget to come together and be that bonfire that can change hearts and lives by warming the throne room of God with the collective light of our petitions.

The Apostle Paul's Prayer for You
MAY...
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of your calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance
in the saints.
And that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God.
