The Still Small Voice

Songwriter

You are a songwriter for Me, saith the Lord.
Every time you serve in My name,
Every act of love you perform,
You add a musical note to the score
You are writing in the heavenlies.
And someday when I have assembled all My musicians,
There shall be a grand concert
Of the songs that have been written
By words, deeds and actions in service to My name.
Some will have written symphonies,
Others, a simple folk melody just as lovely.
But everywhere in My kingdom there shall be rejoicing
As I sing for you the songs
Your lives have written for Me.

He will joy over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

Instruments of Music
And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding by lifting up the voice with joy (I Chronicles 15:16).

W hen men praise Me, they need to play instruments. I need to hear the voices I have made; and all the while I am beholding the hearts where the true music originates.
Some make no sound at all even when they are singing. In others I can hear love songs that go beyond the words.
I listen to the melodies that no one else can hear. With an ear that is geared to perfection, I survey the orchestra I have made, knowing which instruments need My fine tuning. They cannot see Me smiling. They are psalteries, harps and cymbals. They give Me such joy, simply because they are Mine.

Who Are You Now?

Who are you now,
After having known Me for such a long while?
Have I quickened your step, sharpened your view of yourself
As you looked into the mirror of My Word?
Are you any different after having known Me?
Are you a reflection of My warmth? Are you the tender instrument that
Sings for Me at the touch of My breath?
Who are you now after loving Me?
Come closer, and you will know who you are after loving Me.

What you do for Me is not as important as what you become for Me.

Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27
