The Blessed Dwell in Humility

For the Lord of hosts will have a day of reckoning against everyone who is proud and lofty,
and against everyone who is lifted up, that he may be abased.
Seek the Lord all you humble of the earth who have carried out My ordinances; seek righteousness, seek humility, perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.
Isaiah 2:12, Zephaniah 2:3

I have shown you – were you watching when I drew a tiny child into My lap? Were you listening when I said those who were like that child would be the greatest in My kingdom? Were you paying attention when I rode into Jerusalem on a donkey’s foal, the seat usually reserved for women and children?

When I knelt before you and bathed your feet, you didn’t understand until I gave you the explanation. If any will be great among you, you must be a servant.

Did you understand when I allowed them to crucify Me? Did you realize that humility was the prelude to a victorious resurrection?

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth, for the kingdom belongs to the children.
I resist the proud and give grace to the humble.

Do you understand now, that to be great in My eyes you must become small enough to become a child?

No matter how much you grow in Me, no matter how much you think you know intellectually, no matter what you believe you have achieved spiritually, always remember; the ones who are the closest to Me are the children who sit exalted in the throne of My lap.

Let it be your goal to fill this coveted position.

Take the years you have grown up to be, and shed them at the altar of My feet.

My soul is even as a weaned child…Psalm 131:2

Continue to walk in humility and simplicity, for this is the key to your relationship with Me.
